Introduction

Permatex Clear Silicone Adhesive Sealant is a general purpose, single component, room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) compound, designed for the sealing of mechanical assemblies. Upon curing from the exposure to moisture in the air, this non-sagging paste forms a tough, flexible, waterproof seal of silicone rubber, which resists aging, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking.

Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant – 7.25oz

General-purpose, clear RTV indoor/outdoor sealant. Seals, bonds, repairs, mends and secures glass, metal, plastics, fabric, vinyl, weather stripping and vinyl tops. May be applied to horizontal or vertical surfaces. Waterproof and flexible. Temperature range -75F to 400F (-59C to 204C); resists oil, water, weather, vibration, grease.

Applications:

• Automobile – Suggested Applications: Door frames, vinyl tops, seams and roofs (Not recommended for engine gasket or electrical connection applications).
• Heavy Duty – Suggested Applications: Windshields
• Marine – Suggested Applications: Windshields, hatches, seams and roofs

Directions:

Surfaces should be clean and dry. Apply silicone with a continuous,uniform flow. Bead size may be varied by finger pressure, how quickly applicator is moved and angle. For heavier beads,nozzle may be cut to size. Activate PowerBead by twisting nozzle one full turn counterclockwise, raising trigger. Press trigger to dispense. Assemble parts immediately while silicone is still wet. Surfaces being bonded may require clamping until silicone is firm. Siliconeskins and becomes tack-free in one hour. Allow 24 hours for full cure under normal conditions, longer in cold or dry conditions.After use, store applicator by twisting nozzle clockwise, wiping away excess silicone and replacing plastic cap with a click.
